What exactly is a healthy diet? The answer is that it is different for everyone! The USDA MyPlate guidelines state that generally, a healthful diet contains the following: 

  • A variety and balance of foods from all different food groups

  • Fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables

  • Make sure that at least half of your grains are whole grains

  • Do not serve yourself oversized portions

  • Low fat dairy options
